Business Development Manager

Requirements

  • Proactively source leads, set appointments and recruit new customers and partners
  • Nurturing potential clients, prepare presentations and conduct demonstrations
  • Close new business, expand existing customer revenue and meet sales goals
  • Build relationships with clients and partners to ensure satisfaction and competitive advantages
  • Implement CRM updates, pipeline tracking, reporting, forecasting and business metrics to meet daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals
  • Identify new business opportunities with prospects, customers and partners
  • Develop, implement, and execute effective sales and partner strategies
  • Hold regular customer and partner meetings to communicate status of initiatives, highlight successes and receive relevant feedback
  • Provide strategic support to management and operational direction relating to clients, partners, and industries to maximize sales revenue and meet organizational objectives
  • Attend networking events, conferences, training and ongoing education
  • Consistently provide efficient communication
  • Work with an “all hands-on deck” mentality until the job is done
  • Deliver consistently positive (and even rave-worthy) client love experiences
  • Continuously follow-up, provide strategic insights to management and ensure that client’s needs are met
  • Collaborate with others, bring the best experience to our team and meet an insanely high bar for taking care of clients
  • Build strong relationships, manage expectations and execute for existing clients and prospects

Qualifications

  • Skilled networker who can generate leads, establish relationships and promote our brand as a trusted advisor in the payment processing industry
  • Proven track record of navigating various industries and company sizes to identify buyers quickly, pass gatekeepers and get in front of the decision maker
  • Experienced professional in all phases of sales execution
  • Experience in a startup environment and an ability to grasp new technologies
  • Problem-solving mindset with a sense of urgency, always
  • Ability to set and conduct in-person client meetings weekly
  • Proficient with partner engagements
  • Resourceful multi-tasking wizard

Desired Background

  • Must be a self-starter, hunter, and a strong closer
  • 3+ years enterprise territory sales experience preferred
  • Experience with merchant credit card payment processing is ideal
  • Background in selling security and network-related applications is a plus
  • A proven track record of success is critical
  • Sales leadership experience is a plus
  • Position requires some overnight travel
  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience with merchant credit card payment processing and Salesforce is ideal.
